Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

Creator data: When a creator signs up, we collect the YouTube handle, email address, display name, and (optionally) Stripe Connect account details for payouts.

Public YouTube data: Video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and publicly visible video content used by the AI extraction pipeline.

Traveler data: We log click events when travelers click an affiliate link — this includes the link ID, timestamp, referrer, user agent, and approximate country. We do not collect traveler names, emails, or payment information. Bookings and payments are handled entirely by third-party providers.

2. How we use information

• Generate creator storefronts from public YouTube content
• Attribute affiliate commissions to the correct creator
• Process payouts via Stripe Connect
• Improve the Platform (anonymized click analytics)
• Send transactional emails (payout notifications, alerts)

3. Third-party sharing

We share data with:

• Stripe — for creator payout processing
• Affiliate networks (Awin, CJ, Booking.com, Viator) — sub-IDs are passed through so commissions can be attributed back
• Google (YouTube / Places API) — for ingesting public content and enriching location data
• Clerk — for authentication, if enabled

We do not sell personal data to advertisers.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management. Affiliate networks may set tracking cookies when a traveler clicks a booking link — these cookies are controlled by the provider, not TriedBy.

5. Data retention

Creator accounts and storefronts are retained while active. Click logs are retained for 12 months for commission reconciliation. You can request deletion of your creator account at any time.

6. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your creator data at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing privacy@triedby.com. EU residents have additional rights under GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability).
