1. What TriedBy is

TriedBy (“we”, “us”, the “Platform”) operates triedby.com, an affiliate-powered travel storefront platform that generates bookable location guides from creators' publicly available YouTube content.

We act as a sub-affiliate publisher for third-party booking providers (Booking.com, Viator, and others). When a traveler books through a link on a creator's storefront, we receive a commission from the provider and share it with the creator.

2. Creator terms

2.1 Content license

By connecting a YouTube channel, you grant TriedBy permission to ingest public metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publicly visible video content) for the purpose of building your storefront. You retain full ownership of your content.

2.2 Commission split

Creators keep 85% of affiliate commissions; TriedBy retains 15% to cover platform operations. Commission rates are set by the third-party providers (Booking.com is 25–40%, Viator is 8%, etc.) — the 85/15 split applies to whatever TriedBy is paid by the network for a given transaction. You can see your earnings in the creator dashboard.

2.3 Payouts

Payouts are processed via Stripe Connect Express. Minimum payout is $10.00 USD. Balances under the minimum roll over. Payouts run weekly for creators with eligible balances. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding (including KYC and tax form) before any payouts can be issued.

2.5 Accuracy of recommendations

Creators are responsible for the accuracy of the places featured in their storefront. TriedBy's AI extraction is provided as best-effort and creators may edit or remove any venue.

3. Traveler terms

Bookings made through TriedBy links are fulfilled by third-party providers (Booking.com, Viator, etc.), not by TriedBy. TriedBy is not responsible for booking quality, pricing changes, cancellations, refunds, or any disputes between travelers and providers. All bookings are subject to the terms of the provider.

TriedBy earns a commission on bookings made through its links. This does not increase the price paid by the traveler.

4. Affiliate disclosure

TriedBy is a participant in affiliate programs with Booking.com, Viator, Awin, CJ Affiliate, and others. We earn a commission on qualifying bookings. This disclosure is made in accordance with FTC guidelines.

5. Limitation of liability

TriedBy is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TriedBy disclaims all warranties and is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to commissions paid to the affected creator in the prior 12 months.

6. Intellectual property

The TriedBy brand, platform, and design are owned by TriedBy. Creator content (videos, metadata) remains owned by the respective creators. Third-party trademarks (Booking.com, Viator, YouTube, Google) are property of their respective owners.

7. Dispute resolution

Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in binding arbitration per the rules of the American Arbitration Association, in the State of Delaware, USA. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
